Princess Magdalena Anna Cherbourg on the morning of her wedding day, April 1, 1657.

​

Magdalena’s father arranged her marriage to King Hockinbligh III in return for a baronage. Along with the title of Baron, he also received ownership of the small village of Rotterwaite and the nearby deserted coal mine.  

​

Princess Magdalena was 17 years old and King Hockinbligh was 71.
